Wes is a brain/sinus cancer survivor. He also suffered 3 strokes a few days after his 10 hour surgery to remove the tumor. He was 48 years old. One of those strokes was in his brain stem. He has made a full recovery since August, 2005. Through chemo, radiation, and stroke rehabilitation, he wore his "Old Guys Rule" t-shirt. One of the therapists in the gym at the hospital admired Wes' surf shirts, especially that one. This therapist went to his high school reunion and found out that one of his former classmates was the creator of the "Old Guys Rule" shirts. Crazy! Wes is now 53 years old and has been through 5 more surgeries due to bone infection in the last 4 years. He is 4 1/2 years cancer free and is back to running his business, working out at the gym everyday, surfing (when he can), and loving life. He is quite the survivor!
