Greetings,

New guy here.

My daughter bought me an OGR T-shirt a few years ago and it was getting a bit ragged so I thought I’d get a couple more and found this site.

Retired six years ago and am now sixty-six living on a boat in France.  Spent almost forty years of my life at 600 MPH but have slowed a bit - to 6 KPH.  Check: http://www.bargingfrance.blogspot.com for a taste of life here.

It’s great if you don’t weaken!

Captain Dave

PS The surfin’ sucks here but the wine is plentiful!

I’m a 58 “Old Guy”, with 8 Old Guys Rule T-shirts,and live in northern California, since coming back from Nam in ‘71, and was stationed at Travis AFB until I got out after 8 years and went to work for the Navy at Mare Island Naval Shipyard until it closed, but I got a medical retirement in ‘92. My wife and I have been married over 35 years now, I have twin sons that are 30 yrs. old. One lives near Portland,OR, and is married with two kids, and the other lives near us, and is also married with two kids and one more on the way. My wife and I are world travelers now, going in 2006 to New Zealand and Australia, and last year to London, Paris and Rome. Next year we have reservations to go and cruise the Hawaiian Islands, for 7 days but will be there longer. Life is very good to us.  cool smile

I am new to the group at a young 55, I enjoy life and the age thing is not a bother to me. I live in the Ohio area which they do not sell the apparel of “ OLD GUY RULES”, I found out about it while on vocation in Florida. I then found this site and have order items which I wear proudly in Ohio. I went into a clothing store that sold all kind of name brands such as Tommy Bahamas and while I was in there I had on a long sleeved t-short from old men rule and the owner asked me about them and I gave him the web site and said he was going to check it out and may bring in a line of old men rules in his store. I have gotten much great feed back when I wear my shirts form old to young. I am glad to be a member of old guy rules.

I have just joined the forum but have been wearing the Old Guy Shirts for a couple of years since buying the first ones on a holiday to Florida and have bought a few more on a recent visit.
As a resident of the UK where the range is not very well known I get a lot of comments.
Keep the range going.

I’ve been wearing OGR shirts for at least 9 years. My first one was a surfing shirt (Black) that I bought in Hawaii. Here’s the deal, as these shirts have got so popular the black surfing shirts have disappeared, gone to the motorcycles and such. It’s really hard to find a black OGR surfing shirt. Anybody know where I can find OGR surf shirts in black. I like black shirts what can I say. By the way, I wrote this nice and big so all the old guys could see it.  cheese

Hi,
I sent you an email about my company ANJLOGOS.com. We could engrave a beautiful bamboo bar cutting board for limes/lemons etc. with Old Guys Rule and artwork. Would it be okay to ask your readers if they would have an interest? If they do, it might give you some information as to whether you would like to carry my product.

Thanks,

Hey ya’ll… glad to be here! My friends call me “Loco”, from my biker days. Nowadays, I’m retired, and flying an old 1946 Cessna 120 around the pasture, and lovin’ every minute of it.

You folks should market an aviation-related “Old Guys Rule” t-shirt… “Still flyin’ high!”

I first came across the Old Guy’s Rule brand a few years ago on a road trip from Los Angeles to New York, I used it then to wind up my teenage son, now i’m a grandfather its time to put the T Shirts back on. Great to see there are places in the UK I can buy new Old Guy’s Rule stuff. Not quite 50 yet but wearing them with pride.

Hey all you Old Guys,
Was reading some of the threads and found that some of us OG’s were racing @ El Mirage. During the time those of you who were racing at El Mirage, my Dad and I (I was 6 -8 y/o) was racing on the old dry lake bed at Lake Elsinore before they filled the lake to bring in boaters in from the LA area (I got to meet Walt Disney and his family @ what used to be known as 4 corners in Lake Elsinore). We were racing hand built what they called dune buggies. There was some circle track, drags and figure 8. Mostly though just having a good time. My job was to hand my dad tools.

I eventually grew up to be a mechanic after a 12 year stint in the Navy. Went on to race my own cars, but, in Hawaii, Virginia, and No California.

I’m now in a battle w/ non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. I’m doing okay, but still a long road ahead of me.

And I really hope most of everyone knows what FOG stands for. The name got stuck on me while I was a Master Mechanic & Shop Foreman & was working in a Chevrolet dealership. One of the kids working the heavy line was having a problem. One of the journeyman told the kid to go ask the FOG, if anybody knows, he will. After that the name stuck. I’m proud to be a FOG, and hope I can continue to be an older FOG.
